Permission from the artist

During the planning stages before we started to film our production Megan sent a letter to Florence Welch who is the lead singer of Florence and the Machine asking for her permission to use the song.
This is what Megan sent her in October.

Wednesday 6th October 2010

Dear Florence Welch,
My name is Megan Saxton and i am a great fan of your music.
I am currently studying A Level Media and am writing on behalf of myself and two of my fellow students to ask for your permission to use your song 'The Dog Day Are Over' in a production we are currently working on. Our production includes finding a song, producing and making a music video for it.

I can ensure you the video will not be made public and we will not make any kind of profit from it. We will also not use any video material that you have originally created.

Many thanks in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,

Myself, Megan Saxton and my team mates Emily Thomas and Sam Walton.

We did not receive a reply.
