Ancillary Task 1st Draft and Feedback (Digipak)

Feedback from our teacher and peers in our media class on how we can improve our digipack before the final deadline:

-The image looks good in the CD case.

-They liked the use of layers all through the digipack.

-How we highlighted the use of seasons effectively.

-The background links to the topic of nature. The background brings out the girls facial features.

-Eyes closed=mystical effect.

Don't be too wordy.
You could use swirly font, serif, kings + queens (da-font.com)

They liked the positioning of the girl in the foreground.
Name of the artist down the side of the cover.
Earthy colours=folkie
Collage of images=Indie

There was no company logo on there.
The text needs to improve.

Ancillary Task First Draft-Inside Booklet Designs

When we presented the first draft of our Digipack to our media class, I also presented my rough designs for the inside booklet. I created the inside booklet on a Publisher Publication and I recieved mixed reviews from my group, my peers and my media teacher. There constructive criticism was helpful because it would help me to improve the overall design of our digipack and inside booklet before the final deadline.

My intention for the inside booklet, is to use a various range of images ranging from daytime to evening shots to show the versatility of our actress. I have also incorporated snippets of the lyrics which was influenced by the Lungs album.

In my opinion, I could've improved the style of the writing and the colour scheme because people thought that the writing was very difficult to read and I should've used a simple font for the inside booklet and then used a significant font for the artist and brand name.

This would be the back cover of the inside booklet. The back cover has magazine reviews about the single and artist. I have actually used snippets of real reviews from various music magazines.

My intention for this page was to overlap two images to show the style and feel of our digipack.
